Cat was born and raised in Buffalo, NY. After graduating as Salutatorian of the Park School of Buffalo, she pursued higher education in both Buffalo and Rochester, NY. While in community college still figuring out what she wanted to do with her life, she met Fatima, a hard-of-hearing woman. Despite Cat's very limited ASL vocabulary at the time, the two became fast friends. Since then, she has had a strong interest in working alongside the Deaf community. Currently a fourth year student in the National Technical Institute for the Deaf's Community Development and Inclusive Leadership degree, Cat looks forward to being both an advocate and ally to the Deaf community.
As a strong believer in human rights and social justice, compassion is deeply embedded in everything I do.
